Today’s train journey takes you back to the 1950s, aboard a train from Cardigan to London.
Due to a brake isolating valve being left open, the train became a runaway, leaving the engine crew unable to do anything. We found out later that the guard had signalled for the train to start, then remembered he had left an important parcel in the station office and thought he had time to dash back and get it.
Unfortunately, he didn’t. After the guard missed the departure, five passengers received a call on the phone located in the train from the engine driver explaining the situation. The emergency brake could only be activated with a code located in the baggage compartment, which none of us knew.
Only the conductor had this code. By solving the puzzles together and considering our individual identities, we unlocked the brake and stopped the train.
The challenge for you today is, can you solve the same puzzles and halt the train?
Please note this escape room provides a very realistic experience, including movement, of being on a steam train from the past.
